After installing a geforce mx4000 my pc rebooted and came up with an error saying it couldn't find SYSTEM or whatever. So I go to format and load up the via drivers (pain in the ass) and then finally get it to recognize my raptor drive but then when i try to format it, it refuses to do so, it says that it is an unreadable partition and window's cannot format it or use it. any thoughts? I've run the life saver thing from WD, says unknown partition and refuses to format it to a boot drive.

zero the drive with lifeguard and start over
it will take a long time, but return it to factory new
all partition tables, the Master Boot Record, everything will be gone

Corruption 101
SATA Cautions

in short, test the drive and test the cable
and test the memory too
and reinstall (and redownload) the drivers

is this in the system in your sig?
(which BTW needs to be 10 lines or less including line spaces
better fix that before a moderator sees it :p )

if so, you might have a power issue
what are you running?
