Hey Everyone,
I am looking to build a Unraid server to host some VM's and use apps like plex.
I have some old hardware laying around but, need some items. Give me an honest opinion of thehardware looking to run between 2-4 Vm's and use vga passthrough
Case Antec 902
4 1tb western digital drives
antec 1000 W power supply
M600 Quadro card nvidia

I was going to go AMD but, for future proofing Intel seems the better and cheaper choice.

Here is what I am buying
Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake Dual-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 1151 65W BX80662G4400 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 510

ASRock Z170 Pro4S LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Mushkin Enhanced
Mushkin Enhanced Redline 4GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2800 (PC4 22400) Desktop Memory Model 992206T

I would join and post this in the Unraid forums. You should get one additional larger drive for parity. I would check on the Unraid forums if that GPU is supported. Is this server only going to have 4GB of RAM total? You may want to double that so you have at least 2GB for each VM.
