Unlocking the 6800 NU extra pipelines ?

Hey, I've seen several posts about unlocking or enabling all 16 pipelines on the Radeon X800Pro....but not posts on doing the same thing to the 12-pipe 6800NU. Can it be done ? Are they totally different cores and not capped off 6800 GT/Ultras ? Anyone know what the story is on this ?
 
I heard they are different cores, thats what makes the first gen Sapphire x800pro cards so sought after, most can be turned in XTs. Your best bet would to be to overclock it as far as it can go, itll perform quite well after the OC, hf

Ditto. I understand that NVidia, unlike ATI, actually spent the $$$ for an entirely different core. Yet, in a few months, when Ultra cores yield better and a surplus develops.... :cool:
