i upgraded the daughters pc with the 555 and decided to see if it would unlock. it did and all 4 cores load into windows fine. i can run normal apps and Prime small fft's all day. however large fft's and the batch test immediately lock up the machine. i have tried under clocking to 2.6, overvolt to 1.4. and moving the NCC down to -12 on core 2 & 3.
does anyone have any suggestions or are they crap cores.
this on a MSI NF750 G55 with 4 Gb G.Skill 1333 Rip Jaw.

If I remember my (ex 555 & 560) correctly, once it freaks out on you, you go into the BIOS and see under the correct submenu, the BIOS actually disables the affected core. That was based on Asus board so your board may act differently.
