So yesterday night I decided to tell the Simmers how crappy The Sims 2 engine really is and how EA just wants our cash. You can find it here.

Simsfan10110Plyr I realize this thread is for video cards and prehaps you can talk to maxiod sam or the tech support about the trouble you are experiencing. I am really sorry to hear about that and I would imagine it's quite frustrating.

I would be more impressed if you weren't so horribly wrong about Supreme Commander being the only home application that uses dual cores, it isn't even the only GAME that does so..... It just sticks in my craw when people come out spouting like this and they aren't even right with the most basic of facts.

Dude, you're complaining that a three year old game doesn't tax your PC to its limit? What the hell are you smoking? Does Maxis owe you dual core enhancements and graphical updates for perpetuity because your daddy bought you a nice computer? I think not.

How about instead of making yourself look like a jackass you play a game like F.E.A.R. or something and quit your bitching? Oh wait, too late!

So I see you're complaining that The Sims which is a few years old does not look great? Wow..... I'm going to agree with the other posters on "Sounding like an idiot."

And by the way, graphics and how a game taxes your computer does not make a game great. The Sims games have excellent gameplay. That's why they are popular. Ripping on EA does not make a person "cool" either.
 
I play sims 2 with a Q6600 and i have no problems. As long as you can play at a decent or good visual setting and good framerates, what's the big deal? Same with any games actually. If i want to tax my system i'll play oblivion or stalker maxxed out. It doesn't matter what you play as long as you have fun with it imho. There's a reason the sims series has been in the top 10 lists awhile i suppose...:D
 
LOL. Do you enjoying kicking puppies too? Honestly, Sims 2 as Sims one is a great game. You or other folks, I know a lot of folks here, don't like it. Hell, I scratch my head every time someone posts about WoW (honestly I am convinced that game is 90% about jerking off to elves:eek: ) but I don't feel the need to unload on those that do enjoy wanking on elves. Different strokes for different folks.

I am not shy about saying my age, 38. The great thing about getting older is realize just how full of shit you and pretty much everyone else is. Its pretty liberating. Well that and that if you are thinking person, that there is rarely just two, three or few valid answers to most things that matter.:eek: Often the certain guy is the simpleton. Hell just look towards D.C. to get a daily example.:p
