there's a database server at my workplace and it has all of a sudden started to repeat a loud high pitched beep (it doesnt sound like an onboard sound card though) that lasts a second and pauses for a second. it's been like this for less than a day and its still going. i don't really have any hardware background on these kinds of things (i'm just a programmer). any ideas or suggestions as to what's going on here would be appreciated. it's not a big deal though cause if the thing explodes it's not my fault :p
