Universal wall mounts?

A bunch of places sell "universal" wall mounts for monitors. I need some and none of my displays are VESA-compatible. Does anyone have an advice? Should I research model-by-model specs for each display/mount?

Any mounts that I've seen use VESA mount points. Which then obviously require a monitor to actually have VESA mount support.

Outside of that, you are simply looking at using some kind of shelves. I've not seen a "universal mount" which somehow holds a monitor not designed to be mounted.

Without knowing what you have not much help can really be given. Or look up vesa to non standard adapters and see what might fit what you have. Or time to upgrade the monitor :D

no vesa = shelf, or get creative ^^^

Sometimes people think their displays aren't VESA compatible but they are. The stands they come with often use the VESA screw holes themselves or the holes are covered up with a plastic piece that can be removed.

If they aren't VESA compatible it's highly unlikely there is any specialized mounting hardware for them, you have to get creative.

no they dont. most have a hole in the base that the stand goes into. old dells office units did, but most dont.

yeah one of those clamp on ones or a shelf are about the only decent options without vesa mount holes.
