NVIDIA’s VR momentum took another leap forward at the Game Developers Conference, held in San Francisco this week, when Unity Technologies announced that it will be adding support for NVIDIA VRWorks, including VR SLI and Multi-res Shading, to the Unity Game Engine. Direct support in the Unity Engine means integration of VRWorks technologies will be a lot simpler for developers on that platform.

As a cross-platform game engine, developers use Unity to create 3D and 2D games and interactive experiences on many platforms. There are already a number of VR titles are using the Unity Engine, including Cloudlands: MiniGolf VR, Hover Junkers and Job Simulator. Beyond games, Unity Engine is also used for a wide variety of VR applications, including social, medical, tourism, design, education and training.
