I just put in the shitty ECS ELITEGROUP mobo and i cant get it ungrounded. I put it on cardboard and it beeped out of the case (with nothing on the board except processor) and once i put it back in the case NOTHING please help.

ya i know, outside the case it does but when i put in back in the case (still with nothing on it but processor it doesnt do anything not even beep).

i have the same problem, my mobo works outside of the case but when i put it inside nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated, this is starting to get frustrating!

Check to make sure one of the motherboard standoffs isn't aligning with a hole. Or, the motherboard standoff doesn't have a hole on the motherboard and is grounding out...

The biggest problem with shorting out a mobo in the case is using larger than usual screws on the standoffs and touching a trace with the screwhead. I got in the habit of using insulated washers on both sides to eliminate that possibility. :)

The supports or legs that keep it off of the mobo tray or the right side of the comp case.
