I just got my X800pro VIVO card this weekend. I upgraded from a 9700pro AIW. I was not initially impressed. I had a 3DMark03 score of 5088 with the 9700 and 7138 with the X800. Not quite the performance jump I had anticipated. Aquamark was 36,246 and 46,136 respectively. A nice jump but I was expecting more.

Then I decided to try the X800 to X800XT mod found here . This is basically the same guide we have here in our forums but the links are still valid. I can't freakin believe the difference. And I can't believe it worked and how easy it was. My 3DMark03 score jumped to 11,619 and Aquamark is 49,028 with the mod. Now thats the kind of performance gains I was looking for. I'm sure I can sqeeze out a few more points if I really want to but I'm pretty freakin' happy as is.

I highly reccomend this mod to those with the VIVO cards.
