Undoubtedly foolish question re: upgrading

My current kit is in my sig. I'm toying with two possibilities:

1. Shove in an AGP X1950XT and leave it for another 18 months
2. Make the jump to an E6600 setup, based around a board such as the Gigabyte 965P DS3

If I went for option #2, would there be any problem with using my current PSU? I'm happy with the output (I'd not be getting SLI 8800GTX's or anything like that) and want to reuse it. I've been out of the loop for a little while and don't want to order in some new hardware and find out that the mobo has an entirely different connector to the one on my Enermax 600W

Would I be ok to just swap to the Intel platform as far as my PSU goes?
