Why is core #0 on my Phenom II X6 1055T stuck with a 4x multiplier? All the others are at the proper max 14x. CPU load has no effect on changing any of the multipliers, up or down. This is affecting my performance.

It stopped doing this for about a day and now it's back. Any ideas?

(dont mind the voltage or other specs, I have settled them since the pic was taken. They should all be at 243x14, or 3400mhz. But the first core is at 972mhz with a 4x multiplier.)
 
Go to Window's Power options and change it to High Performance. That will keep the chip/OS from wanting to lower the multiplier, even if Cool 'n Quiet is disabled in the BIOS. Also, mess with the Turbo Core option in Overdrive. I turned it completely off since I didn't need it. I had the same thing when I first got my chip, and between the two it's been taken care of.
 
Minimum processor state is set at %100 in power options. Core #0 still boots up at 4x. I can however go into AMD Overdrive and change the 'CPU Core Multiplyer' (Performance control > Clock/voltage > Clock) which then sets all cores to the same multiplier (from 8.5x to 14x. Setting them below 8.5x resets to 14.) It's like it boots up stuck at 4x and has to be woken up by Overdrive before it'll set the multiplier up.

I did a bios update through gigabytes installer program and I think it just reinstalled the same version.
 
Ok i figured out i have revision 2.0 of my motherboard (GA-890GPA-UD3H) and updated the bios accordingly. So far so good at defaults. I did notice under the old bios version it only listed cores 1 through 5. Like it was leaving out core 0. In this version they're all there. I will overclock to where I had it earlier and see how it responds. Thanks for the help all!
