Underclocking

Ok would underclocking the core of my gf4 ti4600 by like 20mhz keep it cooler? The heatsink is falling off and it is very very hot..
 
not much but probably a little. if the heatsink isn't adjoining properly you really should fix it
 
I cant. The black snap-in thing wont stay in. Ive tried everything. The thermal paste is still sticking though.
 
if its out of warranty super glue the clip or create your own compound glue.
 
slap that bitch on there, and give it a few smacks, you gotta beat up your comp sometimes.....
