Undeletable Folders

In the upload section of my FTP server, someone somehow uploaded empty folders. THey have no names, and no contents. If I try to delete them I get an error saying "Cannot delete file: cannot read from the source disk or file." I tried going into safe mode and logging in as the admin, no luck. (XP Pro btw) I did a virus scan and nothing unusual shows up. Any ideas?

give yourself write access to the folder through the ftp server, and then try to delete them that way. if that doesn't work, try uploading empty folders with the same filenames as the messed up ones.
