I've talked to several people about this via PM and in other threads, but I'd like to know..

Those of you who have uncapped your processor, how did you deal with your heatsink/waterblock/etc sitting level if it overlapped the plastic ledge of the socket? My processor is just a slight bit shorter than it so it causes my waterblock to sit at an angle.

A couple have said they shaved down the ledge a bit.. Any other approaches?

Thanks folks..

You know, the little ledge on one side of the socket that has the hinge.

Uncapping the CPU of course makes it shorter, so when you put a waterblock on top of it, part of it hits the ledge and it isn't perfectly flat on the die.

In the main uncapped thread, some people have carved down their cam boxes enough to fit their blocks.
