Hello,
I'm building a new system and when installing my gigabyte 980 gtx with backplate, as realized that the RAM brackets are blocking to the VGA due to the thickness of the backplate. Therefore I had to use PCIE 2.
I tried removing the backplate, but there are screws from both directions which means I have to take the VGA apart to remove the plate.
Since PCIE 2 is x8, how much performance loss an I looking at?
Thanks!
