Unable to POST after blackout

Hey guys...

So I've had my computer for more than three years now.

P5W DH Deluxe
ATI 1900XTX
E6600

And overall I haven't had any major problems. Recently, I brought it to a LAN party (one of the only times I've ever moved it) and when I got there it wouldn't POST. A friend came over to it and just switched around some of the usb ports and the system booted fine. Now, more than a week later (after at least one reboot), we had a blackout this morning. I get home from school and the computer won't post. All the fans go on, the mouse has lights, but the monitor receives no signal and the keyboard seems not to be on (caps lock etc has no effect). I have tried removing and reinstalling the RAM (only one stick right now) and the graphics card. I have unplugged all usb ports, as well as switched them all around, and I have reverted to an old keyboard (which I was using until a month ago - it definitely works). I have also tried resetting the CMOS, to no avail.

So. This is where I am now. I'm thinking this might not be something I can figure out on my own, and considering bringing the computer into a repair shop. Any ideas before I take that step? Keep in mind that I have no case speaker, and I don't know anywhere that I can acquire a speaker around here.

Thanks for even reading this far!

Without a case speaker, its kinda hard to figure out whats wrong by just removing parts. You can start swapping more parts, if you have spares, but other than that, there's not much else you can try aside from a barebones bench test and reseat the CPU. My guess is you need to try a new/working PSU.

I'm gonna go with the PSU, I have that problem before, it spins for a second then dead. Get a PSU tester and check it.

I don't know exactly what I was checking for with the psu, but I grabbed a multimeter and I was able to get 12v and 5v readings from the black 4 pin connector. I could only get a 5v reading from the white molex connector, however, not at 12v...

Try flipping the psu switch off then trying to turn your pc on. Then turn your psu back on and try starting the pc again.
