installed a slave 320GB IDE drive, copied a few files on it and decided to partition the drive, when pulling up disk manager all i see is the total size of the drive, free space is not indicated on it and there are no options to partition the drive. The entire drive is under FA32, converted it to NTFS and still cannot re-partition it through Winblows, is there anything I missed here?

Delete the exisiting partition? Then create partitions in the resulting Unallocated space?

I might be missing something, but if you copied files to it, you already have it partitioned. If that partition is listed as the entire drive, you won't have any free-space left. If it's one solid NTFS partition, you are using the whole drive already.
