Unable to add new computers or users to domain - Win2K3 SBS

As the title says I am unable to add users or new computers to the domain. The error I get is:

Windows can not create the object XXX XXX because:
The directory service was unable to allocate a relative identifier

I'm not sure how to proceed here and have found many different responses from MS's Knowledge Base, JSI and ExpertExchange and don't really know which way to go since this is SBS and not standard 2003 server.

Any assistance or ideas are truly appreciated.
 
You may need to run a repair on the active directory.

Press F8 while booting to choose the active directory recovery and then follow the standard howto check/repair active directory.

I got to do this a few weeks ago when my sbs 2003 premium crashed badly.
