Un-DDWRT a router?

Can't say for sure with the v5...but I've done it many times with prior versions.....either back to Linksys, or over to HyperWRT. Reset to factory defaults button.....and can do either via the web admin...or using their little TFTP utility.
 
Yes there is, read their Wiki it should show you how for each version.

do not just reset button, some version you need to upload a small file to reset it or it wont work and you will brick your router.
 
the factory reset button doesn't revert it to the original firmware, it just resets it back to the "blank" DD-WRT. That much I already knew.


I'll check the wiki...the biggest concern I had was going from Linux back to VxWorks....not sure if just loading that new Linksys firmware would actually work properly or not now that the base OS is completely different.



*found it. Hopefully I won't have to do it...
