when i turn the volume knob on my wired controller on the z5300e, the left speaker always crackles when the knob turns up one notch. its only the knob tho, if i turn the volume using windows, then no problems
 
Yea, that is strange that it's already like that being so new.

If you can't take it back, while the speakers are turned off turn the volume knob up and down quite a few times and then try again. It has been my experience that this can help eliminate/reduce noisy pot issues.
 
try this. keep on turning the knob fast back and forth for about 10 seconds. sometimes this happens to my KLH headphone volume knob. i just keep on turning it for a few seconds and its good again.
 
nope, i tried turning it nonstop for 20seconds forward and back, but still no avail. the sad thign is that only the front left speaker is pulling this sh**. the other ones work fine. and also i think i fu__ed this up when i was switching the monitors. the damn cable was too short for my left speaker since my sub is way to my right, so i might have tugged on the f'n cable a bit too hard. damn i better be able to at least exchange for a new set tomorrow. :mad: :mad:
 
ok i'm fuked

1. exchange/return to be made within 7days of purchase. i bought it on boxing day

2. now its not just a speaker problem, theres something fuked up with my sub. i tried plugging my rear left speaker into the front left slot, and gues what? the rear left started to crackle/static when i turn the knob. what makes it even more fuked up is if i don't plug anything into the front left, the damn sub starts staticking/crackling when i turn the volume knob.

f u logitech, i'm never gonna buy from you again! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Maybe an exchange/return from the store within 7 days but you should be covered by Logitech's warranty.
 
actually theres still a 1 year warranty with the store. but i'm pissed that i have to waste my f'n time to take it in.

gosh i warn and warn people about logitech speakers because the same stuff has happened to me and countless other people. The exact same problem. it happened on the z560s. it happened on the z680s, and just about any other logitech speaker setup. sorry to hear about it, but let this be a lesson to people. DONT BUY LOGITECH SPEAKERS!!!!!!!

YEAHHH baby!

woot i love that store. i just phoned them up, told them about the problem, and allt he guy said was to pack my set up and i'll get a new one. WOOT. ;)
 
Yeah Logitech speakers are great when you get a good set, but they have really bad quality control issues.
