I'm a relative newb when it comes to understanding networking. I have set up basic networks with WEP/WPA and such, but never really dealt with forwarding ports. So, here's the question: Can I put UltraVNC on several machines that are all on a router, set the VNC servers on the individual machines to different ports, and then remotely connect to the machines over the internet (even though they share the same WAN address) by choosing the different ports in the viewer and configuring the router to forward the traffic depending on the port? Thanks for all the help.

You can do that..yes...just change the port on the VNC host, and match it in your port forwarding. If you have more than several computers behind this router though, some flavors of VNC, such as my favorite, UltraVNC, have some cool add-ons. The one I'm thinking about which would help you is their Ultra VNC Repeater....it's like a VNC main server for the network...lets you connect to all others through it.
