Looking for feedback from Dual or even triple monitor users.

I've been using Ultramon ever since going to dual 22 inch monitors. I do like the software and find the newest version to run well with win7 64bit. Its worked so well, I haven't really looked at display fusion but I would like to know more about it.

Which Software do you use and why do you prefer it?

Ultramon, been using it for a loooooong time.

I tried Display Fusion for a few minutes earlier this year and it does have
Aero Live Thumbnails for the other taskbars, but I just like Ultramon more for some reason.

I've been using UltraMon for a long time as well. Tried Display Fusion and it just didn't feel as polished or complete as UltraMon.

One feature I use w/ UltraMon that Display Fusion doesn't have is the ability to create app. shortcuts that let you choose which monitor that app. will open in.

I started out with Ultramon, and have moved to Displayfusion. I actually feel that DF is more polished than UM. On Vista x64, UM would occasionally give me BSODs when I was activating/deactivating secondary monitors; DF has never crashed or had any hints of instability in either Vista x64 or W7 x64. I would also have random instances where secondary taskbars would not display with UM, which has also been a non-issue with DF (admittedly, I have not used UM in the last 1.5 years, so these could all be resolved by now).

I do like how UM allows you to choose which monitor to move an application to, which is nice for >2 monitor setups, as well as choosing which monitor a particular app will open on, as the poster above mentioned. On the other hand, DF has handy windows snapping and resizing shortcuts that are quite nifty.

DF also has the benefit of being less expensive, with volume discounts for multiple licenses.

I could honestly use either and be perfectly happy.

I was a loooong time UM user, but switched to DF when Vista came out, I preffer DF now but could use either

I will agree UM was abit buggy under vista but I find the newest version in 7 runs much better. Thanks for the responses so far guys this is what I was looking for.

I had those problems too w/ Vista. I use Win7 Ultimate x64 now w/ the latest UltraMon and don't have any of those problems anymore.

Used to love UltraMon--used it for many years up through Vista. But since installing Windows 7 I have no use for it. I need my live thumbnails!
