Hello friends,

Can someone please give me a recommendation on a good gaming ultrabook?

My price range is $600-$900 dollars.

I play games such as:

DC Universe Online
Diablo 3

Thanks a bunch.

Wait, only posted 31 times since 2005? Where have you been?!

The M3 sounds kind of nice, and quite cheap, the 640M GPU doesn't look it's a slouch either. Only issue is that the resolution isn't that high, but then again it's only a 15" display, which should be fine either way. Most of the Ultrabooks, as it seems anyway, have just the onboard graphics (which are still great, Ivy Bridge onboard isn't bad at all). $600 and change.

wow thats a steal at that price :O

It's a pretty great deal for what you get in terms of CPU power, memory, the SSD, solid GPU, sleekness. Make sure that you do get the SSD with it, it'll help considerably.

The review looks and sounds perfect but I cannot seem to locate that exact Acer model for that price.

I've checked Newegg, BestBuy and Amazon.

Any recommendations on where I can shop for this exact model?

Go back and read the Editors Note at the bottom. Due in US in second half of 2012. Currently available in Singapore.

That's pretty impressive specs for $600.

The display probably sucks though, which would be a dealbreaker for me.

Here's something else, it's very similar specs, just as good. Only problem is the Gigabyte site is going apeshit for me, and it's taking forever to load the "Where to buy" page. I believe this one shouldn't be more than 700-800 or so from what I've seen.

Or you could wait for that Acer to come out, would be a little cheaper.

None of these seem to be out yet. Anybody have a scope on another reasonably priced "gaming" laptop. Something that can run SC2, D3, and GW2 decently. I found some on slickdeals but I always seem to miss out on the deal. Budget around 500-700. Thanks homies.

When do those ~$700 laptops with the gt 640 come out? I would love to grab a new laptop since my old ones gpu died and I threw it away...

Supposedly soon from what I've read, for the top Acer one. Isn't the Gigabyte one out already?
