I've seen that the Ultra XVS is in the "recommended PSU list" yet I've read really *nothing* about it.

Bigbruin has a review on it, but I'd like some more feedback on it.

I've got an original Xconnect (yeah, THAT one), and I really don't like how loud it is. Im thinking of replacing it with the XVS (system in sig) simply because I can get it for 50$... And I won't have to re-arrange ANY of my cabling (huge bonus). The Flexforce cables are really easy to shorten too...

I think I'm getting close to the limit my current PSU can supply, with startup wattage beginning to get close to 450w (on a 500w PSU, not too nice IMO).

Nothing can perform worse than my current Xconnect either :p.
 
for 50 bucks, i'd totally do it. I'd even think it's DooM3 dreamin machine certified.

I never throught I'd be able to cram a conroe @ 3.5ghz and a 8800GTS in my case, and have the PSU fans being the loudest in the box :mad:

Plus, I can donate the Xconnect to my GF. She likes shiny things...
