For those of you using the Ultra -d I was just wondering how many set MAL and Read Preamble to Auto and let the Data Drive Strength setting take over or manually set them all

Which one do you get better OC results with

Might want to share which bios you are using too :)

Thanks

Oops, this is what happens when you read multiple forums at the same time and try to reply to all of them at the same time.

I THINK they use the same 4 mounting holes.
Stay off the mushrooms :p

To the original question. I have pre amble set to 7, and max async set to 9. Those give me the best overclockability. Set drive DQ to "non reduction". Drive strength should be normal. It'd probably auto to that setting anyway.

I have an nf3 ultra D btw, I expect you're talking about the nf4, but either way, ram settings are ram settings ;)

i've consistantly found that setting MAL + RP to anything other than auto just gives me trouble when i really push things to the limit. use the dram response time setting to adjust those two settings.. "faster" sets them "tighter" ;)

for drive strengths, i usually manually set those, as the board always seems to default to something pretty crappy

this applies for *all* the bioses i've used.. basically anything from 510 and newer.
