While www.ultimatebootcd.com has to be one of the best things a system builder could put in his briefcase, are there any alternatives?

I am familiar with BartPE, but I was looking something "better".

This is pretty much what I use for everything. Inject ghost32 into it and you have a full fledged ghosting solution that runs in a 32 bit environment, much faster then the 16 bit ghost.exe.

Hiren's boot cd was what I was looking for. I even searched for "ultimatebootcd" and "ultimate boot cd" but got no results. Stoopid search!

Thnaks!!!

<edit> I am on theirwebsite now. Where's the damn download linkk? http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd </edit>

That thread took a fatass amount of time to dig up. Remembered there was "PC tech" in the title but yea... stoopid search won't allow "pc" to be searched. GG.

There is no download link.
Some of the software on Hirens CD isn't actually freeware.
You'll have to know where to search for it since it would be against [H]ard rules to give you a link to it here.
