Ultimate Reserviors

OMFG... that's gorgeous!

How are the barbs mounted? They look like they'd be pretty difficult to remove with the molding around them. Would the threads accept Innovatek 8mm x 1cm - 1/4" fittings?

Will I have to abandon the plans for the Innovatek WC rig I'm saving for?

If I sent you a vinyl model, How much would you charge to paint it?

Please - let me know when you've got ones to sell. Any chance of discount on pre-orders? Heh.

The barbs are molded as part of the head, they dont come off, but we can make the barbs in any size or style you desire, or we can just leave holes as empty threads for your own barbs and it does not cost anything extra to do any of that. I wanted to make these as seamless as possible so the chance for a leak was 0 thus we decided to make the barbs part of the res with no seams and no teflon tape to fuss with.
If you mounted your own barbs you can use a deep well socket of appropriate size to remove them, there is room down around the mask part to allow this.

nope, we will not let any watercooled setup limit your use of these parts

Dunno, what it is a model of?

We hope to have them ready to go before the end of the month. We dont usually presell parts because i cannot predict delays that might occur.

I'm working a couple plans for a theme case at the moment. I'm still in the "Bored at work - sketching on a legal pad" phase. I've got a couple vinyl models I picked up years ago at a hobby shop that I'm planning on working somehow into one of the cases. One of them is a really nice winged Cathullu monster. I've left it in the box and spent most of my time building and painting Hellraiser statues.

I'm thinking about casting parts in liquid latex and attaching them to the panels and face of the case I'm working on but am planning a single "focal piece" which I'd love to have professionally done.

have you thought about painting the inside of the res?

Would that work? I mean antifreeze is somewhat caustic I thought (petroleum based, isn't it?). Wouldn't it strip the paint off and end up putting paint chips through the loop? Even if it wasn't chunks of paint I'm fairly certain it would still contaminate the fluid.

the back of these reserviors are clear in the production versions so lighting from inside the case can light the fluid inside, i am planning on keeping the res interior neutral in color so the fluid glows as brightly as possible.
If we did color the the inside it would be by dying the plastic black or whatever, paint would not hold up to years of use when exposed to antifreeze or other chemicals as BellaCroix mentioned.

Bonz, you are teh awesome. If I watercooled I would buy one.

oic. I could see a nice pulsing light coming out of those. :)

a few more of the mask res prototype with some fluid in it.
The head dome is clear in the production version.

That's more like how I imagined them painted. Although if I was picking I'd stick with a blue/grey (kinda suffocated cyanic) look. But still... WOW!

skull res finallized.
The skull pictured here has the eyes clear just as the mask does, this is the finallized version with a clear domed skull cap, the only seam on the res is the cap and sports a rubber gasket to seal the res when the lid is tightened on.
The hose barbs on this design are located on the back, the out barb is on the bottom and the in barb is up top so the fluid is agitated right where it can be seen through the dome.

Wow... I'm jealous!

How do you get your lawn so green? I wish all I had to deal with was some clover.

Oh, and the res looks great too! ;)

lol, my lawn grows like wildfire! i think the question is not how to make it so green, but how to kill it some so i dont have to cut it 2 times a week!
We get a decent amount of rainfall that helps with the lawn, my only gripe is how the fire ants make dead spots with their mounds, i get some small joy running over them with my mower...

you should've responded with something like:

"I pulled all the standard grass and removed the existing root structure with a dremel. I then custom molded some new grass and wet sanded it. I finished it off with some hand painting and an airbursh to add in some high lights. I'll eventually setup a water cooling system to all for nice picnics."

Heh, that's all good but you forgot the gigormous UV lights hidden under the hibiscus trees in the back.

I've found that if you don't cut it for long enough the city will eventually come out and cut it for you... sure, they'll leave a bill but when all your money goes to buying sweet res's they'll just have to take a number behind all the bill collectors calling who make me never answer my phone.

As for the fire ants... every time someone from the warmer climates says something like that I count my blessings that I have to shovel my drive a couple times a year but I'm not dealing with fire arts, hobo spiders, recluse spiders (sure, they're around here but very rare), flying roaches (I think they're called Palmetto bugs or something), etc.

Just... wow. I'm usually a plain jane type when it comes to my computer cases... but holee crap! If I could get mods like that, I might just have to change my mind. Oh yeah, and buy a water cooling system.

these definitely seem like something i'd rather see on the FRONT of a case, in place of unused drive bays, or even sunken into a stack of 5.25" bays with some kind of mesh or window in front of them with cool, spooky lighting all around.

just hanging off the side of a standar case would make me think one of these was an accident or completely out of place.

With res like those, I would keep expecting to see the arms and legs popping out of the other sides..... hmmmmm sounds like an idea to me.

They look great!

I like the suken 5.25 bay idea a lot. i think you could do it on the side, but rather than just stick it there, cut a complimentary window design and mount the res in the center of that window, or get a set of skelletal hands when halloween rolls around and curl the sheetmetal on the side panel so it looks like the hands are peeling open the metal and the head is popping out. These could even be mounted on a stand and left free standing outside the pc case, or even mounted on the top of the case. I originally invisioned them up front as you say, but not just on the front of the case, the mask res can be reversed and face inside the case because the hose barbs are up front. A little creative lighting in that location could look pretty sweet too. the sunken 5.25 with a window or chainlink mesh over the opening, I might actually try that one. Putting a light under the face to light it, like people do with a flashlight when telling scary stories around a campfire would look very sweet.

that's totally awesome... I don't even water cool, and I want one on my case! Great idea!

yeah, that's what i was thinking. for the side of a case, it would have to be an integrated ensemble of some sort. all in all, i really dig the work.

Now if only there were options less Megadeath and a little more Aliens/Macross. Trying to get away from the Biohazard/Radioactive/Death's Head and a little more Sci-Fi/Anime/Future Tech. Still... I'm thinking as soon as they're available I'll need to buy one for the next build.

although the proof of concept pieces are skulls and such, the remaining designs I have yet to photograph are more like science equipment, robotic/futuristic/abstract.

Wooooo! After the theme I'm working on right now I'm planning on doing an anime theme... can't wait to see those too! You're an artist!
