Ok, I have a very specific question about painting. Please answer with experience and not speculation. Please DO NOT post links to websites as I have probably read every one google has to offer.
I need to know the best technique for wetsanding and clear coating a paint job. There are way too many contradicting techniques out there.
Technique 1:
---- AFTER final base color coat, wait 2 weeks for cure time, wetsand, apply rubbing compond etc to get shine back..THEN apply clear coats and wetsand clearcoat after proper cure time if necessary.
Technique 2:
----- After final base color coat, wait 48 hours, apply clear coats THEN wetsand after proper 2 week cure time.
I'm in the middle of a project and have read people using either of these techniques. I am using acrylic enamel spray paints by Duplicolor.
PLEASE no parroting of a website. I would really like experienced people to respond.
*sighs* where's Q-tip when you need him.
