Ok, I have a very specific question about painting. Please answer with experience and not speculation. Please DO NOT post links to websites as I have probably read every one google has to offer.

I need to know the best technique for wetsanding and clear coating a paint job. There are way too many contradicting techniques out there.

Technique 1:
---- AFTER final base color coat, wait 2 weeks for cure time, wetsand, apply rubbing compond etc to get shine back..THEN apply clear coats and wetsand clearcoat after proper cure time if necessary.

Technique 2:
----- After final base color coat, wait 48 hours, apply clear coats THEN wetsand after proper 2 week cure time.

I'm in the middle of a project and have read people using either of these techniques. I am using acrylic enamel spray paints by Duplicolor.

PLEASE no parroting of a website. I would really like experienced people to respond.

*sighs* where's Q-tip when you need him.

You obviously did not come across this page http://www.mnpctech.com/case-mod-paint-computer-pc-case-mod-how-to4.html if your asking this question.

Also see page 6 for clearcoat instructions.

Oh, and if your not happy that I posted a link to a website. Simply ignore my contribution.

YES....Damnit YES I did read this tutorial. Its a good tutorial but there are OTHER tutorials that offer a differing opinion about what I asked. And I would have rather you didn't contribute at all than do exactly the opposite of what I asked.

I asked for EXPERIENCE..not a regurgitation of a website like I asked in my OP. Sheesh. PLEASE read my post people.

He was just trying to help, sheesh.. Don't be an arse.! No matter what you are looking for on the web there are always differentiating opinions..You already have all the info that you need, now make your OWN decision.!

+1

Not to mention Bill over at MNPCTECH is probably one of the most known case modders on the net, and I would listen to his advice with out question. And try not to be so rude, you might get more help.

You guys can't be serious.... I mean WTF. I ask for something very specific..IN MY OWN THREAD and some clueless person does the exact opposite of what I ask. When I expressed for them to NOT do it.

I wouldn't be so "rude" or an "arse" if people could respect wtf I wrote in the OP. How smart do you have to be to follow a simple direction? Huh? And if I felt that I had all the info I needed, I wouldn't have made a thread now would I?

Sheesh people posting just for post count around here these days or what.....

Anyone with PERSONAL EXPERIENCE please give me your advice.

Why are you acting like that? Take some deep breaths and calm down, you're making a giant ass out of yourself. What's the difference between the tutorials w/ people teaching from personal experience and people here posting the same shit? Chill the fuck out.

This is a classic example of how complete idiots can ruin a damn thread. There's a huge difference between regurgitating a website and a personal experience. People aren't getting any smarter I guess.... :(

Guess this thread ran into dolts that can't read and fucked it up in the process.

I'm closing it.
