ultimate for that price. business would be better IMO if you can get it cheaper. the media center features you miss out on in business are crap anyway. ultimate is a total waste of money for $400. for $150, it starts to sound better.
Better to pay the extra $36 for Ultimate now, than the $100 upgrade fee they will want later. Too small of a price difference to not do it.
You can upgrade from your current edition of Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000 to a corresponding or better edition of Windows Vista by purchasing and installing an upgrade copy of Windows Vista.
Just for the record, you could do that with any version of Vista, using some good, free tools that are available.I have Ultimate 64 and I chose Ultimate over premium because it can do a full disk image and not just that lame restore thing that doesn't work half the time. I can backup to DVD or second hard drive or partition. I love it. I can muchk up my system all I want trying drivers and settings out and restore when I am done.
BartPE and DriveImageXL is a free solution (combination) that works great, and couldn't be easier. I would like to try out the built in imaging program, and see how it's compression ratios compare to Ghost, TrueImage, and DriveImageXL.Not saying you can't use something else to back your stuff up but I couldn't find anything as easy as using the one in Vista Ultimate and since it comes with Vista I shouldn't have to worry about compatibility issues.
