I have been toying around with the idea of getting something extreme for a cooling option for my case since I have always had problems with cooling, and at first I was thinking of going with the VapoChill XE, but that cost upwards of $850 (new). Recently however, I did a search for the best case cooling on air (because I'm still wary about going to phase changing or even liquid cooling for that matter, cause I move my case around a lot) on these forums and I found a link to the Coolermaster CM Stacker with the cross blower. Now I also found a link to the only 190 CFM fans that I have ever heard of, the Sidewinders. I was thinking of using two of these in the front of the CM Stacker, one in the back, and two TT Smart Case Fans II, in the bottom rear, and I could add another in the top for exhaust if I wanted too. This would equal about 380 CFM max intake and exhaust as follows:
Front - 2 x Sidewinder Case Fans = 380 CFM
Rear Top - 1 x Sidewinder Case Fan + PS Fan = 190 CFM + ~30-40ish from PS
Rear Bottom - 2 x TT Smart Case Fan II = 150 CFM
Total - 380 CFM Front & Rear
I always figured if I needed to I could use some Pax.Mate, to keep the case running quiet, cause I figure this thing would run LOUD....which really isn't a problem for me since I'm using my Sennheiser PC155 Headset all the time. Pressure would be about equal, maybe not exactly the same, but I'm wondering how cooling would be? Has anyone tried this before? Those fans wouldn't be blowing so hard that they would damage any of my parts inside the case would they? Any thoughts?
