I'm really clueless here..
I have this laptop: Asus G1S-A1
It has a headphone out S/PDIF jack.. Is this a digital output I could hook up to Edifier S330Ds?

I googled S/PDIF a bit and things are still not really clear to me. I'm pretty certain I'm going with the Edifiers, but I'd feel even dumber if I didn't have a compatible output jack. Hurray!

Well maybe. My spdif does not work but I have a HP.

If not there are USB to optical converters so have no fear.

digital is optical or coax. like I said, no worries.

Sounds great. I'll give it a shot with my spdif and if that fails, resort to other methods.
