So.. I RMA'd my 7950 gt ko out due to the fan going out on it and EvGA sent me a 8800gt 512mb. I threw it in my desktop today, and got all the drivers downloaded and such and got the computer up and running right again.

Well i played a little bit of doom (30-45 mins ish) and no problems at all. Decided I was going to play some Sims 3 so I loaded sims, and all the display settings were off so I changed them to what I usually have them at and it asked to restart the game "or else there could be severe graphical issues." So I did so, and while reloading the game the screen was flickering and then the computer froze.

Shut the computer off and tried to reboot next thing I know there are a bunch of blue dots on the Windows XP loading screen and then it froze at the user login menu. Turned computer off again and then let it sit for a bit, then tried firing it back up and the blue dots were at the loading screen again then it just went to a black/white screen that looked sort of like static on a tv.

Any ideas on what is going on? I mean... I literally just got this card yesterday and already having problems with it again. The resolution is 1280x1024 for the monitor so it's nothing crazy. Also, using CPUID's HWMonitor the cards temp never got higher than 68*C I believe (80% fan power).
