So, I snagged the Ubuntu 5.10 DVD (AMD64) release from a torrent last night. I'm getting most of my hardware in the next week or two, and in the interim I figured I'd make sure I got a decent download- verify the MD5 hash of my new .iso against what it's supposed to be! I usually do for this sort of thing if only to rule out a bad image as the source of my problems (puts the blame back on me where it belongs with these "alternative" OS's... I hate being new at stuff).
I can't seem to track down an MD5 hash for this anywhere though- did anybody have a link that I'm missing? I googled for about 15 minutes and found a bunch of hashes for CD versions, or old builds, etc. but nothing on this one.
Thanks for the pointers!
For the curious, I got this for my hash value: 9B0ADD7E9DFD9A6FE2AB202DE80317E3
