Hey guys,

I just installed this on my computer. It worked perfect for a few days. I installed the burryl/compiz program and was adjusting some settings and now everytime I go to sign in, my background comes up and then it cuts to purple lines across the screen....and then returns to the sign in screen.

Any help on how to fix this?

might be helpful if you posted the xorg log, to check for any errors it could state.

should be /var/log/xorg.log or /var/log/xorg.0.log or something like that

That was xorg crashing. +1 to the above.

I've got the same problem. I've tried that but it says access denied. I've even tried the advice from this site http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=83973 , but when it reloads ubuntu, the mouse doesn't work. I'm lost, can anyone help?
