Hi everyone.

I'm running freebsd 4.11 on a dual athlon mp 2100+ with 64-bit pci slots.

Anyone know of a good performing IDE/SATA raid controller _UNDER_FREEBSD_ ? (all the benchmarks I've seen on the web are for windows...).

I heard from 2 people that 3ware is good, but they are a little more $ than I hope to spend.

I'd like to have 2-5 drives, with possibly a hot spare.

Suggestions appreciated.

Mods: If there is a better place for this question, feel free to move it.

I was using a promise fasttrak tx4 pata version for a while, was pretty happy with it. Used in it RAID 10. Ran well, never gave me issues.
