Is it just me, or if I put a TN side by side with the U2311H, the TN seems to handle motion noticeably smoother?

I don't think anyone said the U2311 is ghosting free. A good 2ms TN should be faster.

How does TN compare to Plasma, for motion blur? I'm considering getting a plasma TV for games, because of 3D and because... I HATE TN..

AFAIK plasma is like CRT so absolutely ghosting free, but I've heard that they suffer from phosphor trailing (more than CRTs?).
Also TVs often have input lag which may be an issue for gaming.

Plasma is totally ghosting free. but it ain't recommended for gaming because panel gets "burned" when you keep certain stuff on the image all the time, such as the HUD when playing, windows bar, etc.

Also, It may have input lag.

Dang it... I hope PLS pans out well. :( I forgot about the HUD etc.

Thanks gents.

Modern plasmas are fine, but only the high end panny/samsungs are worth looking at.

Unless you can have find a Pioneer of course, I've got a 5020 and it kicks ass for gaming and burn in is a non concern. Anything else is a compromise IMHO Panny and Samsung plasmas aren't very good.

My plasma has absolutely no ghosting at all, downside is image burn in, but I cant complain, $400 for a 42" 1080p plasma with amazing picture quality.

I had my u2311h alongside and Acer 246, for about 6 months and could never notice any ghosting or difference in the responsiveness even if I ran them mirroring the same thing. Although I did end up playing games on the u2311h and using the Acer for watching movies/browsing the web at the same time. For ghosting, input lag, responsiveness we are talking about a ms of difference though, its so small I don't think the majority of people can tell. You can't even capture ghosting without a speedy camera.
