Has anyone else noticed this yet?

I just got mine today and it was one of the first things I noticed. The darker colors look amazing, but the lighter ones, especially the whites don't look so good - they almost look gray.

After an hour on the phone with Dell I finally got them to send me a replacement - I'm not holding my breath though.

Might just be weak contrast honestly. Since there aren't any reviews for it you are the test bed for whats good and bad.

Might be the anti-glare treatment. It looks like there's a film on it almost. Same thing on my BenQ monitor.

That's exactly what it's like. Does the intensity of the anti-glare treatment vary from panel to panel? And is there anything I can do about it?

People with U2311H are reporting none to a small amount of graininess - I might just have to go with that.

Thanks

From what I understand all IPS panels are like this...recent ones anyway

Ahh ok then you are experiencing Dells strong "AG" coating. On some of its newer models its very aggressive and it won't matter if you return it or not.. the coating is strong on many of there panels.

If it bothers you that much you may want to consider a full refund. I own the U2410 which is suppose to have the most aggressive version of AG coating and I got used to it. Its second nature now and doesn't bother me at all.

Appreciate the response - it only really bothers me when I see white or light colors. Dell is sending me a replacement - but, like you said, it'll probably have the same effect.

It's weird that the people I have asked about the U2311H say there is almost no graininess though. Idk - we'll see
