Can ultra160 scsi drives work with a ultra320 scsi controller?

i read that 320 uses 80mhz bus and 160 is 40mhz so im not sure if it would work?

Sure, SCSI is mostly backwards compatible. It'll just slow the chain down to U160.

And if you have a controller like an Adaptec 39320, which has two connectors, you can put your U160 drives on one connector, your U320 drives on the other connector, and both will run at their full respective speeds.
