Just wondering what people are typically seeing as idle temps on the 3770. I am currently seeing mostly in the 20s sometimes hitting 31-32 on one of the cores. Just trying to figure out if this is normal and what not.

Thanks :D

My 3770k hovers around 25-30 at idle but I don't really pay much attention to idle temps. My load temps at 4.5GHz are between 65-70.

My 3770 non K idles in the low to mid 20s, Under load @ 4.4Ghz it runs in the high 50s to mid 60s.

Depends on lots of things. How it's cooled, if it's been delidded, if it's being overclocked (overvolted), ambient temp, and the luck of the DIE draw. Yea these things affect it more under load, but also have an 'idle' impact. But an 'idle' computer really isn't. The OS and resident programs, from firewalls to AV programs and those crapplets you see in the tray are all doing something and affect your idle temps.

My cores are kinda weird. On 'idle' core 0 and 1 are the hottest, and bounce around 28c to 32c, but sometimes drop to 25c and pop up to 35c. Core 2 and 3 tend to idle lower, depending on the room temp, 19c~24c and again they sometimes jump for a moment to 28c. This is in a 19c~24c room. The odd thing is that the hottest core on idle is core 0, but under load like Prime, it's the coolest; it will typically be 62c when core 1 or 2 (the coolest on idle) is at 70.
