hi

i had a led at the back of the mobo that was flashing green or yellow near the last pcie slot but it has now stopped since i changed a few things and just noticed it was no longer flashing.

any idea what this was for as no reference to it in the manual.
 
Not without a little more detail. Most LED's on motherboards have what they are written on the PCB near the LED.

its next to the winbond controller which seem to be lan or i/o. so maybe its the lan or hdd activity indicator and you turned it off.
 
i changed the hdd to a ssd so had to change from ide mode to ahci mode in the bios i have tried both Ethernet ports on the back as thats what i thought it was for but it is still off.

everything is working fine just wonder why it has now stopped flashing.
 
because you turned it off somewhere, probably in the bios. undo whatever changes you made and it will come back.
 
the only thing i changed in the bios was change the ide sata mode to ahci, never touched anything else and cant see any option to turn on a led so it must have been that imo.

or it just died after 9 years lol.
