A while back, I made a post asking whether or not a TX650W would handle 2 8800 Ultras in SLI with my i7 930. Luckily, it worked brilliantly and the power supply had no issues.

However, I have one last task for this PSU before I am done with it. I would like it to power the same i7 930 system except with a single 480 GTX. Nothing will be overclocked, but it will be in constant use for folding. Since the i7 is around 130 Watts, and the 480 GTX is 250ish, would these components work with a TX650W without blowing it up?

Thanks.

that system won't draw more than 550W at peak, so a 650TX is more than capable of handling it.

It wasn't luck, the power supply is built to handle that kind of load.

It will handle two 480's as long as you don't do much overclocking.

Yes.
