where can i get that stuff that. I'll prolly need an 18x18in piece. i tried to email ac ryan for a distributer but they havent gotten back to me. Also i want to know if its acrylic or plexibgalss.
well basically i seen someone here make a whole case from the material and i want to make a window in my case using the material. Basically when cathodes are off, you cant see inside of it, it just looks like a mirror/tinted window. Turn on the lights and viola, uv/led city inside.
Yeah, two way mirrored acrylic. I know that you can get it from US Plastic Corporation (here) but they only sell 24"x48" sheets and they are on the pricey side.
You might want to check with some local plastic distributors (phone book) and see if any of them can get you a smaller piece for less money.
68 bucks aight that bad for something that cool. you could have two window made out of 1 sheet or 1 window and like some bezels for the front made,or maybe make a resevoir w/leds.
I used it on This Project It is window film on plexiglass. You can get it from cool-cases-usa.com its not on the store but if you contact info@cool-cases-usa.com they can set you up with a small sheet for a decent price.
The actual two way acrylic would probably be better than getting the film is if you can find something to do with the extra, like use it in another project or charge a few buddies to have a window made out of it for them. As you said, $68 ain't bad for the sheet, but some people don't like paying extra money for extra stuff.
Me I was thinking of buying a sheet down the road, I got the link for it at US Plastics out of my modding bookmarks.
