I am currently running two 1080p monitors off a single 4GB 670GTX. I usually game solely on the right monitor (1080p) and have something going in the left monitor like MLB.TV or Live TV via Windows Media Center and my USB tuner.

I have a 480GTX in the basement collecting dust and was wondering if I could put it in so the 670 drives the right monitor and the 480 drives the left monitor. Is this possible or am I wasting my time? Would I get a PHYSX boost? I have a 1KW power supply so power is not an issue.

In the nvidia control panel you can set it so the 480 is a dedicated PHYSX card. You can also tamper with the monitor settings there too.

Installed. Seems to work fine. I can't really see any difference, but I'm betting I get a few extra frames.
