Two rads, two loops or one?

If I put another radiator in my setup would I need another loop? I'm planning on a single loop consisting of pump > rad (BIP II) > cpu > rad (BIP I) > gpu > chipset > res > pump, etc. Or should I make another loop consisting of the cpu on its own loop while the gpu and chipset also on its own loop? :confused:
 
What pump?

I have a BIP and I am getting a BIP 2 I was going to do some experimenting with dual radiators after I get the BIP 2 for xmass
 
I'll try and post my results as soon as everything is setup. Here is my final idea. First of all debating whether to have a res or filiport, but thats not too important. So it's going to be pump to BIP II in the front of the stacker > TDX on CPU > BIP in back of the stacker > 7800gtx > a8n chipset > pump/res. The fans on the radiators are going to be Panaflo M1As running at 7v.
 
Sounds like a solid layout to me :)

As for the Res vs Filport thats kind of a debate it seems around here :) Personally I like Res I find them easier to fill up your system and I like the look better. Others find the fp easier to bleed the system so they go that route.

Yes, it will mount there beautifully. I have one set there now. I even put a 120mm fan gasket to prevent any noise. You just have to use different screws than the grill is originally held there with.

How did you get the rad to clear the daughter soundcard on your DFI board?
 
I put the fan to the grill when I had my DFI in that case. There's an eVGA board in the Stacker now. My DFI will be in a customized Masstige that's coming next week. My Stacker was too tall for my beautiful cherrywood desk my wife bought, so I changed my main rig out.
 
Whether you decide to run one or more loops is kind of a philosphical issue. I am setting up three loops in my Feeding Frenzy project. Each loop has its own pump, reservoir, and waterblocks. I use a single Danger Den Fill-port to fill and bleed each system through the use of some small G 1/8 ball valves. I guess it depends on what you are looking for in your system. :D I have all of my loops tied into one electronic control system called an Aquaero.
 
I just got my stuff this weekend I tried having both two loops and one loop it appears that the one loop worked better. I'll try to get pics later. Here are the temps: CPU @ 321x9 w/ 1.55v doesn't go over 43C full load and the vid card never goes over 38C full load (although the temp monitor in the nVidia display control panel says it never goes over 31C).
 
You should run your rads in parallel vs series (maybe that is what you mean by loops?).
You want the water to pass as slowly as practical as it passes through the radiators.
heat exchange is as much a matter of time as temp differential.
 
More than one radiator will be overkill with that pump. Perhaps 1-2 degrees cooler at the most, not nearly worth the additional equipment (space, weight, cost) and potential for leaks.
