Once a long time ago I had my pc set up with two monitors. One was used to display my desktop and the everyday things you do on a pc. The other monitor enabled me to drag single windows off the main monitor onto it thus giving me far more room. Ive been tinkering about with my settings trying to achieve this again but I cant do it.

Im running a 128MB 9800Pro. Any ideas how to do this or can it even be done with this card? I think the last time I was using a Radeon 7500 64MB card.
 
This is very easy to do, you need an adapter for the dv output on the video card so you can hook up a crt type moniter to it. Then get a program called "Ultramon" to manage your moniters with. I have been running dual moniters for a few years now and dont know how I functioned before that.
 
In the ati drivers there is a screen manager as well, you dont need the mon program.

Thanks for the tip Saxon but im afraid that Ultramon doesnt work with Window Blinds.

CleanSlate, I have done it beofre by simply using the options in the ati control panel. I was thinking that maybe they didnt support the feature now. Would you please explain to me what to o in the control panel to enble this feature?
 
Nitro_APBT go to ati.com and download hydravison. I found out on another forum. The program I want to use doesnt work with it anyway because you cant take the windows inside the program out of the the program to the other monitor. Not ati's fault though.
 
Hydravision is a poor excuse for a dual moniter control system, in short, it plain sucks. I have tried many different dual moniter programs and Ultramon is by far the best there is around. As far as the windowblinds program not being compatible I don't know because I dont use resource sucking frilly programs like windowblinds.
