Probably a stupid question, but i'd like to know before i actually try it. Since i have a laptop LCD and a LCD monitor for my desktop both on the same desk in close proximity, i was wondering if they could hurt each other through some magnetic disturbance or any kind of problems that could occur? Just wondering, since i have no idea about these kind of things?

They are not affected by magnetic disturbance like CRT's are.

The analogue signal can, however, be affected by various sources. Use DVI if you can or keep VGA cables away from stacks of cables.
