Two different raid arrays on an on-board controller?

I want to put together a new system and I was hoping to have a raid0 ssd array for my OS and games, and then also have a raid1 array for my storage and backup.
Is this possible on the same controller? Do any of the onboard controllers like on the z77 handle this?
 
Yes it will work. Just make sure you put them on the right ports. Chances are your board will multiple controllers for harddrives, like the Intel and a JMicron controller. But usually the Intel one is the only one that will have <good> RAID capability.

Likewise you can have both a RAID array and a non-RAID drives both on the Intel ports. Just be sure to set the controller to "RAID" and not just AHCI if you plan on doing this.

Once you get them installed, boot up and interupt at the RADI BIOS screen and go from there to create your RAID arrays.
