So i got myself a Tt 420W PSU a few weeks ago and recently i have noticed that MBM5 and SiSoft Sandra 2004 are BOTH reading my 3.3v rail at 1.60v and my 12v rail at ~TEN volts!!! So i plug in my old Antec 400w from this old server computer i had, and now i've booted up and get the SAME EXACT readings, to the hundredth (.**)

So now i'm wondering if the problem is with the motherboard... Obviously two PSUs cant be fucking up the same exact way. My mobo is an Epox 8KDA3J.

Ok then, here is the rest:
AMD 64 3000+
Geforce 6800GT
2x SATA HDDs
Lite-On DVD 8x Burner
5 case fans, 4 80mm's, 1 Enermax 120mm (hooked up to 3-pin mobo fan connector)
1 Sunon 92mm fan on CPU heatsink, hooked up with 4-pin molex (not to 3pin mobo connector)
is that enough info?

is this too much for my PSU? its rated for 12v@18amps...

Thanks for any help given.

You should verify software/bios readings of voltages with a volt meter. Most of the time the bios/software is off sometimes a lot ,sometimes a little.

The one Epox board I had reported the VDIMM as the +3.3V in MBM5. I'm not sure if that's consistent throughout their line of products.

Also besides the readings did you have any other signs that you system was having problems?

- prime95 fails after a single minute, but i have no problems running programs, the system seems quite stable 24/7 (although i've heard this error is caused by AMD's C&Q feature...gonna check it out)
- sometimes when playing games, like right after a level loads mostly, the entire computer will hardlock for 5-7 seconds, then everything will be fine for the rest of the game...

Other than those two things, though...i can't really think of anything else off the top of my head.

I just don't like the possibility that my system is constantly dealing with undervoltage.

Prime 95 fails = unstable in my book. Marginally stable would be few hours before failing... Is it running at stock speed?

nope, running the 3000+ at (235fsb), 10x multi, 1.6v, with ram on a 5:4 divider (= 195mhz)
