Just wondering if anyone is excited about the price drop countdown. I know I am. Can't wait to see what kind of price we'll see on CPUs that we really want and have waited forever to get. I'm excited about this price drop, but I'm more excited about the next one which will happen in the 3rd quarter! :D
 
I'm about as excited as the time I got a cold.
Come on its a CPU.
The price list has already been published.
I'm just wondering how long it will take for existing stock to be sold out under the old prices before new "cheaper" stock is available for a cheaper price.

Bad for companies that ordered lots of CPUs and will have to settle for selling them for cheaper due to this price drop or else they will never get rid of those old stock CPUs because users are buying the newer stock CPUs that are part of the price drop instead.
 
I'm sure that all the major retailers have been keeping their stocks as low as possible with the impending price cuts as not to take it in the shorts. I'd be will to bet that they were aware of the price cuts long before the general public..........:D
 
some of the price drops started last night. If anyone is looking at e-tailers.

I'm keeping an eye on my wishlist at Newegg. Some things are going up, some are going down, some are staying the same.

I think the case has taken a $40 jump though :(

I think they have an automated system that raises and lowers prices based on interest (I HATE that).

I remember when I bought my Hyundai L90D+ about 8 months ago, the price on it seemed to change hourly, anywhere from $325 upward to $400. You had to watch it and pull the trigger at just the right time. Kinda like the stock market.

In Europe the prices have been dropping for the past 2 weeks. At the moment the E6600 for instance is at 209 Euros, was about 275.
